Disney’s All-Star Music Resort FULL TOUR (Rooms, Pools, Food & Transportation)

We explore Disney's All-Star Music Resort, one of the value resorts on the property, and see what it has to offer, from shopping to dining to leisure and so much more. We break down the layout of the resort and give you a full room tour.

Disney’s All-Star Music Resort: A Full Tour of This Value Gem

Today feels like a good day for a resort tour, don’t you think?

Hey everybody, Joe here, back at home base. Today, we’re taking a look at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, one of Walt Disney World’s value resorts alongside its sister properties, All-Star Movies and All-Star Sports.

This was actually the last of the All-Star resorts I needed to check off the list, and honestly, for the price point, it’s a really beautiful place to stay.

Normally, I’d start in the lobby, but every time I was in there, it was packed with kids, so filming wasn’t really an option. If you’ve stayed at any of the All-Star Resorts or Pop Century, though, you already have a pretty good idea of what to expect.

What I can show you is just how big this resort actually is.

Getting Around the Resort

The layout here is massive, broken up into multiple buildings, each themed to a different musical genre.

For context, when I first looked at the map, I realized just how far everything is spread out. We were staying in the Broadway section, Building 8, which is pretty far from the main building.

Let’s just say… that directory map came in handy.

Inside the Rooms

We stayed in room 8441, and walking in, the first impression was simple: clean, modern, and surprisingly spacious for a value resort.

You’ve got a queen bed as your main sleeping area, plus a table setup that pulls down into a second queen bed if you need it. It’s one of those smart designs that gives you flexibility without making the room feel cramped.

There’s a small kitchenette-style area with a coffee maker, ice bucket, and beverage cooler. Important note: it’s a cooler, not a fridge. If you need something kept properly cold, like medication, you’ll want to contact Guest Services.

Storage is well thought out, too. There’s a safe, extra pillows, hanging space, and one of my favorite features, room under the bed to stash your luggage. It keeps everything out of the way and makes the space feel bigger.

And then there’s the charging situation.

There are outlets everywhere. USB-A ports, standard plugs, multiple locations throughout the room. If you travel with a lot of tech, this setup is a lifesaver.

Bathroom Setup

The bathroom is split, which is always a win.

You’ve got a sink area outside, so someone can be getting ready while someone else is using the toilet or shower. It’s one of those small design choices that makes a big difference when you’re traveling with family.

There’s plenty of storage, plus an iron, ironing board, and hair dryer. The shower is spacious, with a detachable shower head that doubles as a drying line for things like swimsuits.

It’s functional, clean, and does exactly what it needs to do.

Shopping at Maestro Mickey’s

In the main building, you’ll find Maestro Mickey’s, the resort’s gift shop.

Since we were there during the holidays, the place was packed with seasonal merch. Spirit jerseys, Mickey ears, holiday plush, ornaments, Loungefly bags, you name it.

There’s also a solid selection of everyday Disney gear, including clothing, mugs, hats, and even swimwear if you forgot yours or just felt like upgrading mid-trip.

Intermission Food Court

Also in the main building is the Intermission Food Court.

This is your go-to for quick meals and snacks, with options ranging from baked goods like cupcakes and brownies to full meals like stir fry, sesame chicken, pizza, chicken parm, and meatball subs.

There are also grab-and-go snacks and refrigerated drinks if you’re heading out to the parks.

Reese and I stopped for a quick bite and grabbed the kids’ pasta and meatballs. I went with tomato sauce, he went Alfredo. Pro tip: kids’ meals here are still a solid portion and easy on the wallet.

Arcade and Recreation

Right next to the food court, you’ll find the arcade.

It’s exactly what you’d expect, in the best way. Rows of games, pinball machines, and enough flashing lights to keep kids entertained for a while.

And yes, there are even massage chairs for the adults who need a minute. Honestly, not the worst idea after a long park day.

Transportation

The resort uses bus transportation exclusively, like the other All-Star resorts.

The bus stop is clearly laid out with routes to all the parks and Disney Springs, along with posted schedules so you can plan your day.

It’s straightforward and easy to navigate.

Pools and Outdoor Spaces

The main pool sits in the Calypso section and is shaped like a guitar, complete with a fountain featuring the Three Caballeros.

There’s also a second pool toward the back of the resort shaped like a piano.

Around the pool areas, you’ll find public restrooms, laundry facilities, and plenty of seating.

And yes, another massage chair. They’re really committing to that.

Theming Around the Resort

This is where All-Star Music really shines.

Each section of the resort is themed to a different genre, and they go all in.

  • Calypso features bright colors and tropical vibes

  • Jazz includes a New Orleans-style fountain and musical accents

  • Rock ‘n’ Roll is bold, loud, and packed with oversized guitars and speakers

  • Country leans into rustic charm with cowboy boots and a relaxed, ranch-style feel

  • Broadway brings it all together with New York-style streets and marquee signs featuring Disney musicals like The Lion King, Aladdin, and Frozen

The Broadway section, in particular, feels the most like a real place, and it’s easily one of the most immersive areas in the resort.

There’s even a fun little surprise at the box office display, so keep an eye out when you’re there.

Final Thoughts

All-Star Music is exactly what a value resort should be.

It’s affordable, well-themed, family-friendly, and packed with enough personality to make it feel like part of the Disney experience, not just a place to sleep.

Is it as luxurious as a deluxe resort? No.

But for the price, it delivers way more than you’d expect.

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly stay that still feels fun and immersive, this is a solid option.

What Do You Think?

What’s your favorite Walt Disney World resort you’ve stayed at?

And if there’s another resort you want to see next, let me know. Even if we’ve been before, we’ll go back and give it the full breakdown.

And as always… whatever you do, make it magical.
