A Perfect Day At EPCOT - Other Than That One Thing - Day 3 At Walt Disney World
The family is all reunited for Food, Fun and the Festival of the Holidays for our 3rd day at Walt Disney World, where we took on Epcot! It was a truly great day, with delicious food and classic attractions, but there was ONE hiccup during the day.
Day 3: A Full Day at EPCOT
In this video, we’re experiencing everything EPCOT has to offer.
Hey everybody, welcome to the channel! I’m Joe, and today we’re diving into day three of our Walt Disney World vacation. If you missed days one and two, you can go check those out—but if you’re caught up, let’s keep it moving.
We’re heading to EPCOT via the Skyliner, the whole family is reunited, everyone’s feeling better, and we’re ready to go.
Rope Drop Strategy: Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
First stop: the France Pavilion.
Not just because it’s close to the International Gateway—but also because we wanted to avoid using Lightning Lane. Knocking out the big rides early is always the move.
So we headed straight to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.
Even right at opening, the wait was already 45 minutes—but worth it.
France Pavilion Snacks (Worth the Hype)
After the ride, we were feeling a little peckish, so we stopped at the bakery in France—and this might have been one of the best snack stops of the trip.
What We Tried:
Croissant Jambon Fromage
Ham, cheese, béchamel… just rich, salty, and incredibly satisfying.Fresh Baguette
We had been talking about this since booking the trip—and it delivered.
Soft on the inside, crisp on the outside… just perfect.
Coffee Break at Joffrey’s
Next, we grabbed a seasonal peppermint mocha latte from Joffrey’s.
Espresso
Milk
Peppermint syrup
Chocolate
Whipped cream
Minty, chocolatey, and exactly what we needed to keep going.
Frozen Ever After
With caffeine secured, we made our way through World Showcase to Norway for Frozen Ever After.
Posted wait: 55 minutes
Classic boat ride. Catchy songs. Always a crowd-pleaser.
Mexico Pavilion Attractions
From one boat ride to another, we headed to the Mexico Pavilion for:
Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros
A fun, laid-back ride—and a nice break from the crowds.
Festival of the Holidays Snack
Next, we used one of our snack credits at the Mexico holiday kitchen.
Tamal de Puerco con Mole Negro
Shredded pork
Corn masa
Mole negro
Queso fresco
Crema Mexicana
Almonds & sesame seeds
Verdict: incredible.
The spice hits at the end, not overpowering—just enough to linger. Sweet, savory, and perfectly balanced.
Mission: SPACE (A Risky Move After Eating)
After that… we made a questionable decision.
We went on Mission: SPACE.
We chose the Green version, but Rhys wanted to try Orange—so Carrie went with him.
Result?
He didn’t feel great afterward and needed a bit of a break.
Lesson learned: maybe don’t ride intense attractions right after snacking your way around EPCOT.
Creation Shop Treat: Apple Pie Gelato Shake
Next stop: a treat from Creations Shop.
Apple Pie Gelato Shake
Strong cinnamon
Apple notes
Slight pumpkin pie vibe
I loved it.
Everyone else? Not so much.
Carrie: too much cinnamon
Abby: “tastes like a candle”
Rhys: polite thumbs up
So yeah… I stood alone on that one.
Living with the Land
We then headed to a true EPCOT classic:
Living with the Land
Posted wait: 30 minutes
Actual wait: closer to 15
It’s one of those attractions that EPCOT fans really appreciate—relaxing, educational, and uniquely Disney.
Dinner at Teppan Edo (Japan Pavilion)
Later in the day, we had our first sit-down dining reservation:
Teppan Edo
A traditional teppanyaki experience—dinner and a show.
Chefs cooking right in front of you
Onion volcano included (of course)
Fun, interactive, and great food
Guardians of the Galaxy… Almost
After dinner, we headed to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind for our virtual queue.
And this is where things went sideways.
You know that moment when:
You’ve been eating all day
You’re about to get on a roller coaster
And suddenly… nature calls
Yeah.
We were about 10 minutes from boarding when I had to make the call.
I left the line.
The rest of the family rode it—I missed out.
Heartbreaking, especially since it would’ve been my first ride since the preview.
But hey… priorities.
Spaceship Earth & The Seas
After regrouping, we headed to:
Spaceship Earth
The Seas with Nemo & Friends (walk-on)
A nice, calm way to reset after the chaos.
Luminous: The Symphony of Us (Nighttime Show)
We wrapped up the night with EPCOT’s nighttime spectacular:
Luminous: The Symphony of Us
Pro Tips:
Best viewing spot: Near the Germany Pavilion
Fast exit strategy: Watch from the bridge near International Gateway for quick Skyliner access
Wrapping Up the Day
And just like that, day three came to an end.
It was one of our most food-heavy days, and it finally felt like we had fully settled into vacation mode.
Everyone was feeling better
Abby was back to normal
The stress had melted away
And we still had plenty more days ahead.
Final Thoughts
EPCOT delivered:
Great rides

A few unexpected moments (some more urgent than others)
