A Perfect Day At CocoCay and Crazy Quest On Our Last Night Aboard The Voyager of the Seas
We visited Royal Caribbean's private island, Coco Cay, for a perfect day during day 5, our final day aboard the Voyager of the Seas!
We explored the whole island including The Hideaway, Chill Island and all the other locations while taking in some snorkeling, eating a delicious lunch and interacting with nature. The evening was full of entertainment with infamous Royal Caribbean activities, Battle of the Sexes and The Crazy Quest!
Sunrises, Snorkeling, and The Crazy Quest: Our Perfect Day at CocoCay
The sun was just peeking over the horizon as we approached our final port on the Voyager of the Seas: Perfect Day at CocoCay.
There’s something hypnotic about watching a ship of this size dock. We even got to see the Icon of the Seas pulling in right behind us—complete with crew members waving giant "Hi" hands from the deck.
Fun Fact: Ever notice why Disney lifeboats are yellow while everyone else’s are orange? Disney actually got that specific shade of yellow approved for their fleet! Otherwise, it’s orange by law. The more you know!
The Hideaway: Adults-Only Paradise
We headed straight for The Hideaway, the adults-only section of the island. You can walk there, but do yourself a favor and take the tram—especially if you're hauling gear.
The water was looking absolutely gorgeous. Fun fact: I haven't set foot in the ocean since I was a child, and Carrie never had. So, naturally, there was only one thing to do: Jump in.
The Verdict on Hideaway Beach:
The Vibe: Chill in the morning, party in the afternoon.
The Pool: A stunning infinity pool with a swim-up bar and a DJ on a private island pumping out jams.
The Drinks: Carrie grabbed a Watermelon Margarita. Let’s just say it didn’t last long.
Snorkeling at Chill Island
After our "adults-only" time, we migrated to Chill Island for some snorkeling. We brought our own gear, but you can rent it right there. While the water isn't incredibly deep, there’s plenty to find—fish, sunken artifacts, and enough underwater scenery to keep you busy for hours.
Lunch and a Giant Visitor
Lunch was at the Chill Grill, which has an impressive spread:
The Food: Taco stands, Cuban sandwiches, Philly cheesesteaks, and a massive salad bar.
The Dessert: A buffet of sweets and fruits (I’m not your mom—eat the cookies first if you want).
We even had a surprise guest join us at the table: a massive iguana! Up close, the thing looks like a miniature Godzilla. Apparently, they can get up to 30 lbs. Is it the buffet food? Maybe. Is it the island life? Definitely.
The "Hidden Gem" of CocoCay
If you want to escape the crowds, take the tram to South Beach or Cove Beach. It’s a bit further from the amenities, but the views are unbeatable and there’s so much more breathing room. I even found a nature trail at The Cove with native plants and educational tidbits—Explorer Joe at your service!
Sailing Away & A Night of Chaos
Watching the Voyage pull away from the dock while the Icon followed us out was one of those "this is why I cruise" moments. But the night was just getting started.
Dinner Shoutout
A massive thank you to our servers, Mark and Damas. They were attentive, remembered our favorite drinks, and even brought us extra Tiramisu because they knew we’d love it. It’s those little things that make a vacation special.
The Adults-Only Traditions
We ended the cruise with two Royal Caribbean staples:
Battle of the Sexes: A hilarious showdown of men vs. women in silly tasks.
The Crazy Quest: This is the infamous scavenger hunt run by the cruise director. Carrie and I were both team captains.
A Note to My Fans: I ended up wearing another woman’s bra as part of a quest task. I slayed. I looked great. Someone recorded it and promised to send it to me... they never did. So for now, you’ll just have to use your imagination!
Is it Really Over?
As we headed to bed, we knew we’d be off the boat in the morning. But we managed to squeeze in one last bit of fun before heading home. That’s going to be the subject of our final video in this series, and trust me, we’re ending it with a bang.
