Stranger Things Returns to Halloween Horror Nights for Its Final Chapter
The battle for Hawkins isn't over just yet.
Universal has announced that Stranger Things will return to Halloween Horror Nights in 2026, bringing the events of the show's fifth and final season to life in brand-new haunted houses at both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood.
The fan-favorite Netflix series has become one of Halloween Horror Nights' most successful intellectual property partnerships over the years, and this latest house promises to serve as the franchise's grand finale.
Enter the Final Battle for Hawkins
Created in partnership with Netflix, this year's haunted house will place guests directly into the climactic events of Stranger Things 5 as the barrier between Hawkins and the supernatural world begins to collapse.
Guests will travel through several recognizable locations from the series, including the Wheeler House, Hawkins National Laboratory, and the MAC-Z military base. Of course, no Stranger Things experience would be complete without a trip into the terrifying realms of the Upside Down.
Along the way, visitors will come face-to-face with Demogorgons, supernatural creatures, and the show's ultimate villain, Vecna, as they attempt to survive the final showdown that will determine the fate of Hawkins.
Based on Universal's description, the house appears to be heavily focused on recreating the most intense moments from the final season while delivering the kind of immersive scares Halloween Horror Nights fans have come to expect.
New Merchandise Available Now
Fans won't have to wait until the event begins to pick up some Stranger Things-themed merchandise.
Universal has already released a limited-edition collection inspired by the new haunted house, including a retro-inspired T-shirt, mug, and a new acrylic collectible figure. The figure is designed to fit into Universal's Infernal Carnival collectible display series, with additional Halloween Horror Nights collectibles expected to be announced throughout the season.
The merchandise is currently available at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood and becomes available online through shopUniversal on June 18.
Halloween Horror Nights 2026 Dates
Halloween Horror Nights 2026 will run on select nights from:
Universal Orlando Resort: August 28 through November 1
Universal Studios Hollywood: September 3 through November 1
Tickets are already on sale for both events, with Universal noting that additional ticket options for Orlando will be announced in the near future.
This could be the last opportunity for fans to experience Hawkins and the Upside Down as part of Halloween Horror Nights. If previous Stranger Things houses are any indication, this is likely to be one of the most popular attractions of the season.
